Blogging in 2016

Hey all [6 of you], hoping you all had a great new year!

Sorry for not publishing anything in quite some time. The stress and anxiety of both final exams and applying to graduate programs has really gotten to me, but I’m starting to feel better now.

In 2016, I hope to be a little more active here. Every Monday you should expect a new post, with at least one per month being a longer, more in-depth piece. As always, hit me up with any questions or suggestions for topics you’d like me to get into.

Here are a few random thoughts I have about this blog right now.

  • Want to supplement your reading with some listening? I love the AudiologyTalk podcast. Its a little heavy on the research and clinical sides of the field, but provides a pretty good overview and interesting perspectives on what’s happening in Audiology. (Presently, the podcast is mistitled as “podcast episodes – current episodes.” I’ve contacted them about this, but haven’t heard back yet. Look for it though, its definitely there.)
  • I’d love to start my own podcast with a focus on discussing individuals’ hearing journeys with guests from different perspectives. Perhaps a bi-weekly thing with a different guest each time? I can’t imagine I’ll get into that anytime soon, but if anyone is interested, let me know!
  • Some topics I hope to address in the future? Streamers, CIC vs BTE, tackling hearing aid costs, hearing aids in popular culture, and much much more!

Thanks for reading!
